Privacy Policy

At Ecaterra Capital Inmobiliario S.A.S. we respect your privacy and your fundamental right to personal data protection, recognized in the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador and in the Organic Law for the Protection of Personal Data (LOPDP). This policy explains what data we collect, for what purpose, for how long, and how you can exercise your rights.
1. Data controller

2. Data we collect
We collect: (i) identification data you voluntarily provide such as name, e-mail, national ID or passport number and bank account; (ii) usage data such as IP address, device identifiers, pages visited and session length; (iii) compliance data required by UAFE for anti-money-laundering purposes.
3. Purposes
We use your data to: provide the service, assess your investor profile, execute the loan contract, fulfill tax obligations before SRI, respond to requests from competent authorities, prevent fraud, and, if you consent, send you commercial communications about new opportunities.
4. Legal basis
We process your data based on: your express consent, the performance of the contract you have with us, compliance with legal obligations applicable in Ecuador, and our legitimate interest in keeping the platform safe.
5. Retention
We keep data during the contractual relationship and for ten (10) years after it ends, the limitation period for tax and anti-money-laundering obligations in Ecuador. Marketing data is kept until you withdraw your consent.
6. Recipients
We share data with technology providers (hosting, analytics), Ecuadorian financial entities, appraisers, external lawyers, and with authorities such as SRI, the Superintendency of Companies and UAFE upon formal request.
7. International transfers
Some providers have servers outside Ecuador. In those cases we require contractual clauses ensuring an adequate level of protection in line with LOPDP.
8. Your rights
As a data subject you may exercise rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, portability, cancellation and restriction of processing. To do so write to privacidad@ecaterra.com attaching a copy of your ID or passport. You may also file a complaint before the Superintendency of Personal Data Protection of Ecuador.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures: encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), role-based access control, audit logs and periodic security reviews.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when regulations or operations change. We will notify you by e-mail of any material change.
